La Femme de Couleur traces the lives of Afro-American, Afro-Caribbean, Hispanic and Afro-Latin women through word and art. It is about finidng ourselves in the midst of Western rejection and exploitation. It is about our bodies, our hair, our sexuality, our realtionships, and our perceptions of the way our world sees us. It is about finding meaning in our colored skin in this age and time.
