Are you an Afro-American, Afro-Caribbean, Hispanic or Afro-Latin writer? Has your race or ethnicity been the cause for different treatment? What was your journey to accepting your body, hair, sexuality, or religion like? Have you finally become comfortable with the woman you are? Are you interested in sharing your story as a colored woman?

As women of color it may be hard to find ourselves in a society and culture obsessed with Eurocentric ideas of beauty and living standards. We need to share these trial and/or triumphs. This anthology not meant to be an anthology built up on the woes of tragic negroes, but rather a voice to sounds of color that are not heard enough.

Although this topic is far from original, the information out there is too few. With your personal essay and art submissions, the information will have a new vehicle to travel by. Feel free to express your story as a colored woman.
